1. When I eat cupcakes, I rip off the bottoms and eat them and then eat the half left with frosting on it like normal. Otherwise, I can't fit the whole thing in my mouth. Plus, then I get a higher frosting to cake ratio. 

2. When srapbooking, I have to have the subject in the picture facing inward on the page...
3. When I get off the phone with someone - I always say, "Okay, Talk to ya later." It annoys even me. Unless it is Cameron. Then I say, "Okay, love you, bye." Every time.
4.  I over-plan and over-think EVERYTHING.
5. Any time I see a stray dog - I have to stop and at least try to see tags or if it will come to me. I HAVE to. Cameron is used to this by now. Most of the time, the dog runs off.
6. I must have details. If you are going to tell me a story - you must be prepared to share the details. This gets interesting when Cameron tries to tell me a police story... haha.

Zucchini Bread

On Cameron's sole day off last week, we decided to not do too much cleaning or things like that and to just spend time hanging out. So, to do this, we made zucchini bread from this giant zucchini my sister gave us from her garden. Okay, we made two loaves and froze enough shredded zucchini to make bread every week for the next 6 weeks. Here is what it looked like:

I'm not loving this picture, but I had to prove that I was a good girl and stayed down while Cameron did the baking like a good house-man.^

Ode to The Blue Body Pillow

I know, people have been telling me for weeks that sleeping with a body pillow really helps. It is not like I had to buy one either. There you were stuffed under my bed waiting to be used, and still I tried to manage without you. 

Sorry, friend, that I thought you would be too bulky and annoying. Sorry that I thought a regular pillow between my knees could do the trick. Oh, how I was wrong. Last night was utter bliss. I slept all night long and only rolled over twice! If only I would have known sooner. So here is to you Blue Body Pillow. Until tonight.

Fudge

This last weekend, I dog-sat Fudge, a 90lb female pit bull. She is really sweet and super cute and her and Major actually get along quite well. Anyway, I took these pictures and thought they were cute. Enjoy.

He's Back!

Our friend, Jonathan, is back from Iraq! Jonathan served as a Marine Reservist in Iraq for 7 months. He is a bulk fuel specialist, so he spent most of his time refueling vehicles on a base called Korean Village. Anyway, he got back last week, and this weekend his family had a party for him. Since I got such a good report from my doctor on Thursday, I decided to venture out to the gathering. Here are some pictures from the event! Yummy

I was so proud of myself yesterday when I ate this as a snack:

Tomatoes and round cucumber from my sister's garden and some carrots.

 

Then, today I followed it up with this:

Grapes, apples and peanut butter. 

Of course, not pictured is the giant bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch I also had! Maybe later I will have some ice cream, yum!

Belly Blog

Today I had another doctors appointment. My fundal measurement (pubic bone up to top of uterus) is at 29 centimeters. At one centimeter a week - I am basically right on target. I was also up three pounds. Most people wouldn't get excited by this, but I do! I like getting weighed and seeing how much I have gained! My cervix was also measured again and I am holding steady at 2.8cm. 

The only other news from my appointment is that my doctor highly recommends that I just do another c-section instead of trying to VBAC. I am kind of saddened by this, but I guess in the end he is right. Why take an unnecessary risk. 

We also did another FFN test today. My one from two weeks ago was negative, so I am hoping this one will return with the same result. A negative result basically means no labor for me for the next two weeks - whoo hoo! Although a negative is good, a positive means nothing. Lots of women go long periods of time in their pregnancies with positive FFNs... 

I can't wait to meet Little Dude. He moves around all the time... I have been doing kick counts for my doctor and today he told me that if he kicks more than 10 times in an hour, to stop counting and do something else. I guess that is good because I have gotten up to 39 kicks before and at that point - it just gets boring!

Baby Shower Surprise!!!

Yesterday was a little more exciting than the norm. After being tricked as to what pretense I was spending the morning at Cammie's house, I was brought back home to a surprise baby shower! 

The details of how they got me out of the house and planned all of it are mildly exhausting, so let's just say that they did a great job working it all out and that Melinda is especially sneaky. In fact, I think I need to be more careful about who I let have a key... 

So, It was pajama themed (for my bed-rest, of course). We had snacky/sleepover food and waffles and almost everyone wore their pjs. 

Along with the surprise of an entire shower, I was also surprised by the presence of my out-of-state aunt, Veloy, who flew in for me! I couldn't believe it!

And of course I was blessed by an abundance of gifts to help with the arrival of Little Dude. It was almost overwhelming how generous everyone was. I couldn't be more grateful for the thought of a shower, the gifts, and on top of it all - making the drive to my house! Thank you!

Fondu Night

Okay, so I love fondu - and back when Cameron and I both worked and expendable income existed - We loved to go to The Melting Pot for Fondu. Well, my friend, Megan, just posted that she and her boyfriend went there this weekend and the craving started. So, I convinced Cam to get the stuff we needed from the store today and tonight - We had fondu!
