Friday morning Cam and I went to our ward park day with Jake. It was really early and really gloomy and Jake doesn't really care all that much if he is at the park or in the backyard - but we went anyway. We got there a little early I guess, and only one lady from our ward was there, but it was fun all the same. After a walk around the lake and a quick picture, we were on our way. We actually went to a secondhand bookstore here in town that we have been meaning to check out.

Then, yesterday after I went and ran some errands and got my free ice cream from Cold Stone for my birthday - Jake and I went to the Elder's Quorum picnic. Cam was at work, but if I don't go and represent - no one will ever know us and how cool we are! Jake did okay and only had one fussy spell. Whoo hoo! I think this means we need to get out more. He is so fussy when we are just at home.
Anyway, I am grateful for all these activities because they allow me something to do other than just sitting at home wallowing.

Once Kyle started getting older I noticed he was a lot happier if we got out at least once a day...even if it was just a walk to get the mail. Sometimes it's such a hassle to load everything up (maybe I'm just lazy??) but in the end it is usually worth it!
It gets a little better as they get older and can talk and tell you what they want, until then hang in there and make Cammie come visit more.
We need to seriously hang out....it's so hard being at home all day...especially when your babe is young and doesn't do much but eat, sleep, and cry. Call me anytime! And on Wed. Feb 4th....come to Tumbleweed park! More details coming!
