Busy Saturday 2.0

Like I said before, yesterday was super busy and Jake was super cranky. On Friday I was at my parent's house supposed to be helping them out with some stuff, and instead I was dealing with Jake who screamed almost non stop for four hours. Yesterday was a similar story, but we have started feeding him more and it seems to be helping. I can't tell if it is teething or a growth spurt or something else completely, but it is testing my patience for sure!

Okay, back to why I am blogging. After Jake's nap (a short one... grrr) we were off to finish errands and such. Now, Jake is three months old and (I thought) is supposed to grip things and take them to his mouth and whatnot, but he really doesn't despite my best efforts. Occasionally, he will take something from me if a help him a bit, but he almost always immediately lets go of it. Well, yesterday as I was frantically gathering a day's worth of stuff (ie: an entire car load) I set Jake (in his car seat) down in the laundry room for a second. When I returned to haul him to the car, I looked down and he was holding the play ring that I put on his lap! And not only that, he was shaking his little hand with it! I was really excited, so despite the amount of stuff I was carrying, I pulled out the camera and snapped a picture.

Doesn't he look pleased with himself?

Then we ran errands. I ran into my friends Sarah and Glen at Target so a shout out to them! Also a shout out to Katy and CJ who had their baby girl, Kynlee. Oh, and thanks again to Cammie for watching Jake while I quickly visited Katy. Who knew it was still RSV season? ... not me.

Anyway, I eventually met up with my sister at the bowling alley. Aly, my sister, lives in Taylor and comes down every once in a while. And when she does, I always try to make it on her list. This weekend, I convinced them to go bowling which wasn't hard because they both love it and are somewhat avid bowlers. (Hey, what else is there to do in Taylor, AZ?) I didn't get to see their baby, Ember, but next time! I took Jake anyhow...

Jake at the bowling alley!
Accidental strategic placement of the wall behind us, but it is totally perfect.

(Am I a bad mom for doing this? Wait, don't answer that.)

When I got home, this is where I found Major.
Those clothes were clean and laid out ready to be hung... oh well.
I guess that really sums it up. Happy Sunday to all!

Allston would cry for hours at a time when he was that old too, he ended up poking some teeth through a few months later. So every time he had a crying fit I would give him a bit of baby tylenol and it helped sooooo much. I also put damp washcloths in the freezer for him to chew on.

Oh yeah and I used to feed Allston like that in the early morning hours so I didn't have to stay up, when he was finished he would just stop sucking and it would fall to the side. So if you are a bad mom for feeding him like that then I'm a bad mom too.
