Going to School

The semester is officially over, and I don't think I ever sat down to document this period of time in our lives. Cameron and I have both been taking one class at MCC on Monday and Wednesday nights. Cameron's math class is his last for his Police Science Associates and I am just taking my digital photography class for fun. (My associates is done and I am waiting for the right time to go full-time to ASU.) 

Anyway, in order for us both to go to school, and have child-care, and not waste gas, we have come up with quite the solution. While I am in class from 4:25 to about 7, Cameron watches Jake in the car or runs errands. Normally though, Jake just lays out on the front seat while Cam reads or does homework. (We can't get WiFi in the parking lot, we tried.) Then, when I get out of class, I drive Cam to the other side of campus and sit and wait for him there from 7:10 to 8:25. (I know, my wait is so much easier than Cameron's!) Usually while I am with Jake, I get him in his pajamas and let him play while I listen to talk radio. Joe Crummy, 92.3. 8:20 rewards code. Or, I go to Target (my nemesis), or hang at my brother's house around the corner.  So yeah, after class we drive home and Jake usually falls asleep on the way home and then I just carry him to his crib here. Ahh... 

Well, although this has been a great arrangement, I am glad it is over. Jake is getting too big for the seat (he pushes himself off with his muscular legs), too wiggly for the wait, and it is too hot to not have air, and too long to keep the car running the whole time.
