Jake is eight months old. Yep. 8. I can't believe it. I mean, six months still sounds like a baby to me, and seven is stretching it, but eight!? He is so big!
He is crawling now. He finally decided one day last week to start taking 3-5 strides at a time and then stop and push himself to a sitting position and wait for praise.
On the same day he really started pulling himself up to things like the couch or the ottoman.
He is SO strong! He is solid ball of muscle mass.
I am fairly particular with what Jake eats. We have a list, and we still introduce new foods with the 3-4 day wait rule. I just finally gave in and gave him yogurt on this day. He LOVED it.
He is also eating: Rice cereal, oatmeal, avocado, sweet potatoes, carrots, banana, brown rice, squash of any kind, mango, pears, grapes, apple products and chicken.
Jake is such a good baby. (I can't believe I am saying this...) He is content to play by himself with this toys or just rolling around on the floor. Sometimes, I can even put him in his highchair with some snacks or toys while I work in the kitchen and he is content to just watch me.
This is his big bin of baby friendly toys. We dump it out in front of him and he goes to town!

After playing for a while, he crawled into the bin by mistake.
Other things Jake is doing right now are: Learning to pick up snacks with his fingers, babbling - A LOT, mimicking us, not sleeping well, holding his bottle VERY well, and smiling more.

That is so fun that he is crawling now! I think it makes life easier when they can entertain themselves, but then again they can get into whatever they want. Dinner was so delicious last night and I just ate another bite of brownie for breakfast! (Still need to go grocery shopping) It was all so yummy and thanks so much again for feeding our fish while we were gone! You guys are the best!

He's just so cute! Sounds like trouble now that he's mobile...we'd better look out...one day he'll be at our front door! ;-)
He is seriously a good baby! At the baby shower he was so good, by the way thatnk you for everything a thank you card is coming soon, just need to get stamps. Continuing on.. 8 months wow! He just seems like a happy go lucky baby!
I can't believe our boys are 8 months old either....CRAZY?!? he isn't sleeping good? I am sorry...either is Cody...maybe something in is the air.
