Tales of a Little Stinker, Part 1

The other day Jake was being naughty.

He can reach the TV and likes to pull it out of the entertainment center onto the floor. (Seriously, he has done it twice.) 32" TV. 20lb toddler. Do you see the problem here?

Knowing that this behavior must be stopped, I quickly reacted and put him in timeout the minute I saw him messing around with the TV.

While in timeout, which is typically performed on the third step, Jake stood up to leave.

No way. No how. I am wise to his attempts and "SIT YOUR BUM DOWN RIGHT NOW" was my response this time as well as all the times before. Jake knows this too.

After his first attempt to avoid his one minute of solitary confinement, I watched Jake get smart to this whole concept of "sit down" as he slid his bum from stair 3 to stair 2. Then from stair 2 to stair 1. And from there to the floor where he proceeded to crab walk with his bum down all the way to in front of the TV.

His bum never left the floor.

He isn't even two yet.

Oh man. I have my hands full.
