Making a funny face while he sleeps in his carrier
Oh, and I even got sleep! My amazing husband walked in after a ten hour shift last night and took the baby. How he does it, I will never know. I didn't have to do a thing until I woke up at 6am and decided I needed to feed the baby and give Cam the rest of the morning to sleep for work. Ahh... 5 hours of sleep.
On another note, Major is in the doghouse... literally. I was expecting a visitor this morning and when Major started barking at the door, I assumed it was them. So, as usual, I told Major to sit and stay while I opened the door. Not a second later, he bolted out the open door and down the street. I was holding Jake and didn't quite know what to do, so I set him down on the couch and ran after Major all while partially resolving in my head that if he ran too far, he would just have to be gone. (Sad, I know, but what am I supposed to do when I have Jake?)
As soon as I got to the end of my driveway, I could see him at the end of our block in a fight with two bigger dogs on leashes with their owners. The owners were both struggling to get the dogs untangled but didn't succeed until the second I got there. I grabbed Major and asked the people several times if their dogs were okay. All seemed well, so I walked Major home and sent him to his kennel where he whined and howled for the next several hours on and off.
All of his behaviors were so uncharacteristic today. I am assuming he approached the dogs just wanting to sniff and play, and because they were on their leashes and were frightened by him, they reacted, but I will never really know.
How do you stay mad at such a cute puppy?

Oh no! Major will have to be demoted for sure after such behavior! How frustrating!
I'm glad you got some sleep (and Jakey too!) =)
Hi
This so reminds me of when our precious daughter Kelli was our newborn. Back then we called it colic. I went out collecting for the Boy Scouts while Dean stayed home with Kelli. She screamed and pulled at the hair on his chest for an hour or so. Some little ones have such a hard time adjusting. Bless Jacob's little heart. But mostly bless yours! Time will take care of it. I will come and hold him while you sleep if you want. Love, Aunt Renae
