Catch-Up Time

Have you missed me? I am so far behind. I hope you can hang in there because this post is a long one, but it is full of all kinds of exciting things like:

Christmas:
This is Christmas Eve at my parent's house. Jake and his loot!
And Christmas Day. Notice the outfit change. Jake had multiple appearances to make on Christmas day, and an outfit for each one. This is the morning at my sister Laura's house for breakfast, so it called for PJs. Later in the day Jake and I went to Cameron's work for a potluck dinner which was nice. I had a good time meeting his coworkers, their families and showing off Jake. I then made an appearance at Cameron's parent's place and then finished the night off at my parent's for dinner!
A classic Christmas moment: some of my nieces and nephews huddled around a new Christmas toy.

New Years:
No pictures... Sorry! I spent New Years at my sister Laura's house playing bunko until 10 and then coming home to put the boy to bed. Cameron had to work the Tempe Block Party. He said he had a boring post to "patrol" all night, so there is nothing much to report.
Our New Years Resolution is to work on our year supply!

Aunt Veloy Visits!:
My Aunt Veloy came to visit from the 2nd to 7th. She is my mom's sister, and since my mom passed away when I was 11, I tend to use my aunt as an earthly stand-in. It was really nice to have her. She was always so willing to take Jake, which was a big help day and night!
While Veloy was here she taught me to make rolls and sweet and sour chicken. We also spent a day at Freestone Park with my brother and sister as well as spending one evening at a drive-in movie.

Me and Cameron at Freestone Park on the train.
The cutest picture of my nephew Sam on the train. (Trains are his thing right now. He was SO into it.)
Me and Veloy!
Sam and my niece Ember on a Model T ride-on toy.
Cousins. These are all of my dad's "biological" grandkids. He has lots more of "emotional" grandkids from my step-mom's family. My aunt calls these kids "The Greats" because they are her great nieces and nephews.

Jacob is Blessed:
Jacob was blessed on the 5th. We had our family come over and we blessed Jake right here in our home. It was really nice. Afterward we all ate food and enjoyed one another's company.
His Blessing Outfit
(Don't tell anyone that his vest is from Build a Bear!)
And, After everyone left - This is Mr. Cool in his preppy attire.

Jared's Birthday:
Last, but not least, today is my brother Jared's birthday! Happy Birthday big bro! I love my brother. He has always been such an example to me. I strive every day to be just a little bit more like him in testimony, actions and intelligence. Love you Zooks! (Bazooka Butt)

Looks like you had a great holiday. Wish I could have been there for the blessing. Why did you do it in your home?

Thats neat you did it at home, I didn't know you could do that. When Geoff blessed Allston I made him wear a recorder so I have allston's blessing on a CD.

Looks like you're up to fun! He looks so cute. We ended up blessing Kyle in my parents' home and loved it.

Wow, you've been busy. Jake looks so cute in his white collared shirt. He's gonna be a heart breaker. :) That's hilarious his vest was from build a bear, but it looked great. We had a hard time finding a blessing outfit for Cale. He ended up wearing khaki's and a onsie with a fake tie embroidered on it.
