My Education: Right now I only have my associates, but I am proud of that. My actual certificate came in the mail last week and I was really excited to open it. It took me a long time to earn, and now I feel like I officially have something to show for all the time I spent taking classes. Eventually, I would love to finish my bachelors at ASU, but for now I am happy to have what I have!
My Dad: My dad turned 68 yesterday. Happy Birthday, Daddy! We celebrated this evening with a full turkey dinner. It was seriously like Thanksgiving. I have inherited a few things from my dad, namely his deep rooted sarcasm and complete inability to turn down an opportunity to share a lame pointed joke. (So sorry if you have ever had to endure one of my Conrad-isms.) Anyway, even though he drives me completely crazy sometimes, I am so grateful for him. He has taught me so many things. Self-reliance, hard work and dedication to one's family to name a few. Earlier this year we celebrated the 50 year anniversary of the accident that left him paralyzed and I remember thinking then how amazing of a person my dad is for accomplishing so much in his life despite all of his obvious set-backs. He is truly blessing in my life and for more reasons than the obvious "I wouldn't even exist without him" one.
